Hail Brothers of Province 3!

Welcome back to school. For some of you it has been awhile, and for others you are just getting started. I wanted to send out this email as a welcome, and to take care of some house-cleaning things as we get the year rolling for the province.

First, if you are a current chapter president, faculty advisor, or PCR, a member of the PLT, or one of the members with some sort of responsibility on the province level, please make sure I have your current information. I would like your email address, phone number, mailing address for the school year, AOL IM screen name if you have one, and don't forget to include your home chapter and the position you hold.

Second, if you are a current member of the Eta-Omicron chapter, please contact me so I can get some contact information for your chapter, as listed above.

Third, Fall Sprawl. The Phi Omega chapter at UD will be hosting the event this year, and have already been working out the plans and details. I hope all of you have received the emails put out by their PCR, Dustin Schick. It will be the Saturday evening and Sunday during the day of the October 8-9th weekend. We're trying an event with a Sunday emphasis in hopes of working around the busy fall marching band schedules in the province. We have a lot to go over at this event, including the revised By Laws for P3. There are a lotof things being restructured, and it's important for everyone to familiarize themselves with the changes before the Province Council meeting on Sunday morning. Sam Selvage and the By-Laws Committee should have something out to the P3 listserv by Wed or Thursday of this week for you to go over.

Fourth, the listserv. Please encourage your chapter brothers to subscribe to the P3 listserv, or make sure they get the information that comes across it. Communication is a big part of running an effective province, and we all need to do our part in keeping the lines open and passing on that information. Check out the P3 website to sign up for the listserv.

Fifth, personelle reports. Everyone should have recived their fall care packages from Lyrecrest. Make sure you share the enclosed information with your chapters. Also, be collecting dues and getting the personelle reports turned in on time. They need to be postmarked by Nov 1st 2005.

However, do not wait until the last minute. It never hurts to get them in early. Also, province dues (equal to $5 a year for each active brother) can be sent me at the address below.

Sixth, province leadership. I will be appointing any remaining province leadership positions at Fall Sprawl, but I will be doing things a little different this year. I will be writing later on how to "apply" if interested in the various positions. Some of these may include; webmaster, province events coordinator, expansion chair and committee, province treasurer, as well as members of the committees.

I'm realling loking forward to a productive year for province three. Hopefully you are too, and we can take this province on and ever upward. And remember, it's not too early to start planning for Cleveland and the 2006 Convention!!!! If you have any uestions, concerns, or ideas for the province, please do not hesitate to contact me. It is not my province, it is our province!

Yours in Phi, Mu and Alpha,

Matt Burgio
