The Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Philadelphia Area Alumni Association was chartered on June 17th, 2000. This began after alumni brothers in the Philadelphia region, who were inspired by the alumni movement in the national fraternity starting at the 1997 Centennial Assembly of Sinfonia, began gathering monthly to become involved with the fraternity again. Throughout the years, the association has met at monthly gatherings, ranging from buisness meetings at members' homes, to lunches at area restaurants (such as the Spaghetti Warehouse in Philadelphia's Spring Garden section) to actively engaging with nearby chapters in their functions. For example, in 2007 the PAAA assisted the Rho Sigma chapter (West Chester University) in celebrating its 40th anniversary. Other gatherings the Association have done (alongside brothers from local collegiate chapters) include a Phillies game, a lunch at Pat's Steaks in south Philly followed by singing from the red book, and attending a concert performance of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
