FALL 2010 RUSH EVENTS STARTING!

The brothers of the KZ chapter are excitedly preparing for the Fall 2010 Rush Events. Like previous semesters, the brothers will hold an informal meeting where those men who fit the qualifications of being a Sinfonian can come and meet the brothers. It’s generally just an event to hang out and meet everyone but if you have questions about the chapter or fraternity, you can ask a brother here. Food is provided as well as many activities like frisbee, lawn golf, football, and more. The meeting will be on Tuesday September 7th at 7pm at Loar Music Hall. This is an open event and anyone can come!
The informal meeting is just one opportunity for you to meet the brothers. If you can’t make it to the meeting but still want to know more about joining, please let a brother know! Check out the “brothers” page and hunt one down on campus. Any brother would be glad to talk to you about the organization. We hope to see a lot of you around soon!

SUMMER UPDATE

For many, summer brings about a time of rest and relaxation but for many of the brothers of the KZ chapter at Wesleyan, summer brings hard work, planning, and commitment to their art. Many brothers are participating in various theater performances and internships while others are preparing for their leadership roles with the fraternity.
The brothers at the KZ chapter begin their fall semester on the 23rd of August and look forward to fresh opportunities and new faces. Many leadership positions have changed within the chapter and provincial level and we’ll have an entry soon about that! Until then, enjoy the rays and the rest of summer. We’ll see you soon.

KZ INITIATES TIMOTHY DAVID ALLEN

Yesterday, on March 28, 2010, The Kappa Zeta chapter initiated Timothy David Allen into their chapter. Tim approached the entire probationary membership with great enthusiasm even in the face of adversity. The brothers are very excited about Tim’s assimilation into the chapter and look forward to what he will bring to the chapter in the future.

UPDATES IN THE LAND OF KAPPA ZETA

So my computer’s logic board blew up and it’s just now that I’m back up and running. Now for the massive amounts of updates that have piled up in the meantime.
The Kappa Zeta chapter initiated Professor James Moore; Director of Bands at West Virginia Wesleyan College. James has been a great addition to the music department and has been a positive influence to many of the brothers of the Kappa Zeta chapter.
The Kappa Zeta chapter currently has one probationary member. Tim Allen is going through the probationary process solo and is doing a great job. The brothers look forward to him joining the chapter once he completes the process.
In the time of my computer’s illness the chapter has also completed a Mills Music Mission, their national philanthropy, and held their annual music recital.
The future looks bright for the Kappa Zeta chapter and hopefully, the health of my macbook and future updates.
