COAA Organizational Meeting Minutes

The first function of the COAA will be to provide and grill the food for the Province 3 Summer Smash, which is to be held on Saturday, July 31st at Berliner Park in Columbus.

Some key goals for the COAA include:
Recruitment

• Begin emailing invitations to join the yahoo listserve
• Develop a comprehensive website that could be used for announcements and communication between members

Structure

• Appoint a loose "leadership team" to oversee actions of the AA until the by-laws can be put in place
• Have a firm set of by-laws and an Executive Board in place by August 31st.

We plan to have a formal meeting after the by-laws are ratified, where we'd like to perform a Ritual (Ryan calls dibs on HP!)

The idea of making an association trip out of the Burrell Memorial in Boston this October was discussed.

Ryan, Sam, and Dustin (along with anyone who wants to join them) will be drafting by-laws on Tuesday, July 6th at 7pm in Sam's apartment.

More on recruitment: names were mentioned and in general we feel that the younger alumni should be our focus in the initial stages. Contact all the alumni you know of that aren't too far removed from their collegiate days and get them in!

The next meeting of the Central Ohio Alumni Association will be on Monday, July 12 at 7:00pm at the Bowling Palace near 161 and Cleveland Ave. (Yes, we're bowling!)
